Starting from today 19 November 2017, our community is organising a series of events worldwide to raise awareness about Restorative Justice and celebrate together the International #RJWeek! The calendar of the EFRJ website collects 97 INITIATIVES taking place in 24 COUNTRIES across Europe and beyond! Thanks to all our members who kept us informed and made us part of their local campaign! #RJWeek Film A Conversation During this week the film 'A Conversation' (subtitled in 15 languages) will be screened by our members in 58 places, including Budapest, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Marseille, Bilbao, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Como, Sassari, Trento, Porto, Lisbon, Oslo, Riga, Thessaloniki, Tirana, Kathmandu, Tel Aviv, Moscow, Santiago de Chile, other places in Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, UK, Switzerland. Thanks to all those members organising the screenings and debates, which will reach about 3000 people from different professional backgrounds. #RJWeek Leuven Restorative City Many events will take place in Belgium this week to celebrate the national prison week and the international RJ Week. In particular, as part of the project 'Leuven Restorative City' (in which the EFRJ is a partner), a network of organisations will offer a broad spectrum of activities, both for professionals and a large public, including workshops, trainings, films, a TEDx talk, all focusing on promoting innovative justice processes in society. Other Restorative Cities (Tempio Pausania, Como, Bristol) are also playing an active role for this RJ Week! #RJWeek Calendar of events Out of the 97 initiatives, almost 40 members are celebrating the #RJWeek with more inspiring events, such as debates, trainings, seminars, theatre workshops and performances, conferences, launches of new books and reports, other film screenings, classes with students, thematic lectures... taking place in Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Nepal, The Netherlands, UK! All events are listed in the calendar of the EFRJ website! Image result for calendar november #RJWeek Moment of Inspiration In the past months, the EFRJ collected a series of articles on ideas and real projects using art as a communication tool or as an instrument for raising awareness in the field of RJ. To inspire you in this #RJWeek 2017, today we publish the BOOKLET 'Restorative imagination: artistic pathways. Ideas and experiences at the intersection between art and restorative justice'. To be downloaded via the EFRJ website.
