EFRJ seminar on mediation for victims of domestic violence (Warsaw)

The EFRJ is happy to invite you to the seminar "Access to mediation for victims of domestic violence" taking place in Warsaw (Poland) on 22 May 2015. The seminar is linked to the EFRJ Annual General Meeting taking place on 21 May. Find here the invitation to both events.

EFRJ Summer School on RJ and the EU Victims' Directive (Lisbon)

The EFRJ is glad to announce that registration is officially open for the EFRJ Summer School on the victims' directive - challenges and opportunities for restorative justice (Lisbon, 13-17 July 2015)!

Combating hate crimes and xenophobia through RJ (London)

IARS will be holding its Spring international lecture "Combating Hate Crimes and Xenophobia through Restorative Justice" on 13 April in London (UK). This interactive lecture will focus on the utilisation of RJ as catalyst for social transformation and the prevention of xenophobia and hate crimes. Celebration event for survivors of gender-based violence (London)

The event “Abused No More” will be held by IARS on 23 April in London (UK). It is organised by a group of refugee and asylum-seeking women survivors of gender-based violence. The event will include the performance "Even if we lose our lives" based on interviews with three Afghan women fighting for peace and protection for women’s rights as well as motivational talks delivered by Sarian Kamara and Maimuna Jawo. Conference on victims of crime (Lisbon)

The Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV) and Victim Support Europe (an umbrella network of 36 national member organisations, providing support and information services to victims and witnesses of crime in 25 European countries) will organise the International Conference “Victims of Crime in Europe: the future is now!” on 13 and 14 May 2015 in Lisbon. Inaugural conference of the Community of Restorative Researchers (Leeds)

The registrations for the RJ research network's conference are now open. This is a free, half-day inaugural event which will take place at the University of Leeds on 7 July. The purpose of the conference is to promote an open and critical dialogue between restorative justice researchers, policymakers, practitioners and other stakeholders in the UK. Find here more info.

Intensive anti-corruption training (Vilnius)

Transparency International School on Integrity organises its annual anti-corruption and accountability training for future leaders in Vilnius (Lithuania) on 6-12 July 2015. The training will deal also with topics such as peace-building and justice. The event will engage a civil youth society of senior students, graduates and young professionals under the age of 35 from public, private, non-governmental and academic sectors, from all academic backgrounds.
