| RJ in Policing Ethnic Minorities |
|
The one-day final conference "Restorative Justice in Policing Ethnic Minorities", organized within the framework of the COREPOL project, will take place in Brussels on December 4. The conference will focus on conflict resolution and peace-building between minorities within democratic societies, a topic closely related to ALTERNATIVE, where the EFRJ is one of the partners in the project.

| World Mediation Organization Symposiums |
|
The World Mediation Organization brings together scholars and professionals dedicated to promoting a culture of peace by using mediation and conflict resolution strategies between people, states and organizations. Two WMO Symposiums will take place in December 2014 in Dallas (USA) and Manila (Philippines); dates have been set also for 2015 in Turkey, Germany and Hong Kong.

| Mediation training in Bergamo, Italy |
|
A new training programme for mediators will be organized by the Italian association "La Voce" in collaboration with the RJ centre from the "Caritas Bergamasca" between January and Septermber 2015. Experts will talk about mediation in different settings, such as local communities, prisons, families, and focusing on different parties, such as victims, prisoners, and communities. | New blog of the ALTERNATIVE project |

As a partner in this FP7 project, the EFRJ launched a new blog during the RJ Week 2014 for the ALTERNATIVE project. Fully in line with the spirit of their project, ALTERNATIVE is now reaching out to a much wider and diverse audience by launching this interactive communication platform. | Workshop on RJ in intercultural settings |

In the framework of the ALTERNATIVE project, the Norwegian project partner NOVA organises a 1.5 days regional workshop on 10 and 11 February 2015 in Oslo, Norway aiming to bring together participants interested in RJ in intercultural settings from the Scandinavian countries and beyond. | Course on Restorative Approaches in Youth Settings |
|
The 5-day course "Restorative Approaches in Youth Settings" will take place between 19 and 23 January 2015 near Reading, Berkshire (UK). The course, facilitated by Dr Belinda Hopkins, the director of Transforming Conflict, presents a constructive approach to conflict, bullying, disruption and challenging behaviour.

| Training on RJ and adolescent harmful sexual behaviour |
|
The AIM Project focuses on using RJ in cases of child and adolescent harmful sexual behaviour. Between 18 and 20 March 2015, a skills-based training for maximum 20 practitioners will take place in Manchester (UK). The training will enable participants to have a clear understanding of restorative approaches and their use in sensitive and complex cases which involve sexually harmful behaviours.

| International Symposium of the World Society of Victimology |
|
The 15th International Symposium of the World Society of Victimology will be held in Perth (Western Australia) on the 5-9 July 2015. This Symposium follows the previous Symposium held in 2012 in The Netherlands, Justice for Victims: Cross-cultural perspectives on conflict, trauma and reconciliation. Registration is now open.
